How it works

Once you decide what you would like done and what frame, mount etc. you would like, I will confirm with you a date and time that is suitable to come and take castings of your baby.

On the day itself I will be with you for approx. 1 hour, but this will obviously depend on how many casts are being taken and how cooperative your baby is feeling.

The casts are best if taken in your kitchen so I can mix up in your sink. The mix itself sets very quickly, within minutes, so we have you and your baby ready to take the cast straight away. The mixture is of a custard consistency and does not hurt the baby in any way, it just sets and then we release their hand or foot. The mix is made up of seaweed and is often used for dental castings so is totally safe, non toxic and biodegradable.

After cleaning up any mess I will leave you until I revisit you with the final product which should be about 3-4 weeks later.
